Mochis at Mia's Goodies

*update: Mia's Goodies to be renamed as Lomichi and reopen in same address June 2025. The other day I went to a little Asian grocery store to kill some time and found this adorable little mochi shop with amazing, tasty mochis! Mochi are little round Japanese rice cakes made of rice, water, sugar, and corn starch which together make a fluffy, light, soft, and tasty treat which often has sweet fillings.
Some of the fillings which can be inside mochis are fresh fruit like strawberry, mango, or persimmon. The fillings don't have to be fruits, they can be sweet flavors like chocolate crunch, peanut, red bean, or matcha. Some of my favorites are the chocolate crunch or the fresh strawberry. I like those flavors becase the chocolate crunch is chocolate flavor and the crunch is a nice texture. I like the strawberry becase it it nice and tart unlike the chocolate crunch.
The mochi all come wrapped up in a box with cute logo of a little chick sitting on top of an adorable pink mochi. You might have tried frozen mochis with ice cream inside but those do not compare to fresh, Mia's Goodies mochis! Mia's Goodies is an amazing place to enjoy fresh mochis! Go check it out and try it with Wyatt!
